Hunting!

Hunting for most people isn't there idea of a fun thing to do because it involves sitting for hours in a tree stand and freezing in the cold weather. Sometimes, you may not see anything either and it could turn out to be a waste of time. But what hunters love most, and non-hunters don't experience, is the thrill you receive when you see a deer walking toward you, or when you fire your first shot at a deer, and actually kill it. This feeling is like no other and is fun to experience.
For me, well I love hunting. I've grown up in this "hick" town, where hunting is a way of life. I do everything hunting related, whether it's going deer shining, setting up deer cameras, throwing apples and corn out by my stands, repairing old stands and setting up new ones. To me, this is almost more fun that actually hunting in general. I guess I would like hunting more than I already do, but I never seem to kill a deer. I always miss, and I haven't dropped a deer in the eight years of hunting. I always get pumped up for hunting every year and when it's all over and all I do is shoot and miss, it is the worst feeling. Almost all of my friends have killed a deer by now, but me. And, another thing, hunting is almost like your killing a deer for bragging rights. Around here my friends give each other a hard time if you shoot and miss or if you don't kill a deer and as of the past seven years I'm the one getting picked on. I just wish that would change.
Anyways, I'm using a different gun this year and hopefully that will do the trick. I too, am praying that this will be the year that I finally get my first deer, whether it be a buck or a doe.

I was wondering if you target practice enough with your gun? Another hint is to shoot from a rest, shooting off hand is alot harder, and if you hunt from a tree stand that doesn't have a rest I could help you build one, I have a welder and I'm sure I could pimp your stand out! I made a rest on my climber stand and it works good.
